With more than 20 years of bridal hair experience, I’ve learnt that beautiful wedding hair is about so much more than simply following a step-by-step tutorial.
It’s understanding the hair in front of you.
Knowing how to prep it.
Knowing where to create support and structure.
Knowing when to use padding or extensions.
And knowing how to create that soft, effortless finish while still making sure the style feels secure and lasts throughout the day.
My 1:1 bridal hair training days are completely bespoke and designed around you, your experience and the areas you want to feel more confident in.

There is no pressure to work at a certain level and no one-size-fits-all approach.

What can we cover?
Your training day can be tailored around the styles and techniques you would most like to work on.
This may include:
Soft textured updos
Romantic half-up styles
Creating effortless volume and movement
Hair preparation and product choice
Pinning and structure
Padding and extensions
Working with fine, thick or difficult-to-style hair
Creating softness without losing security
Longevity and making bridal styles last
Adapting inspiration images to the client sitting in front of you
Troubleshooting when a style simply isn’t working
You are welcome to send me inspiration images before your training day so that we can build the session around the styles you would most like to improve.
A training day built around you.
Before your training day, we’ll talk about your current experience, the areas you find most challenging and what you would like to achieve from the session.
From there, I’ll tailor the day around you.
I’ll demonstrate techniques, explain why I’m using them and give you plenty of opportunity to practise with support and guidance throughout.
I don’t believe in simply showing you a hairstyle and expecting you to copy it.
I want you to understand the foundations behind the style so that you can take those techniques away and confidently adapt them to different clients and different hair types.
And if something goes wrong during the session?
That’s often where the best learning happens.
Knowing how to troubleshoot and change your approach is one of the most valuable skills you can develop as a bridal hairstylist.
Learn from real wedding experience.
I’ve spent more than two decades working in bridal hair and have styled hundreds of brides on real wedding mornings.
That experience has taught me far more than simply how to create beautiful hair.
It has taught me how to work with different hair types, manage timing, adapt when plans change, create longevity and stay calm when a wedding morning is happening all around you.
Those are the little things I love sharing during my training days.
My aim is for you to leave feeling more confident in your technique, more confident in your decision-making and excited to put what you’ve learnt into practice.

We can focus deeply on one or two styles, or explore several techniques depending on your experience and goals.
Training takes place in Sussex.
